Post-Treatment Guidelines for Ultrasound Lifting (Ultherapy)
Cleansing
Light face washing, showering, and makeup are allowed starting 1–2 hours after the procedure.
When cleansing or showering, please avoid rubbing or directly touching the treated area.
For 1 week after the procedure, it is recommended to avoid saunas, bathhouses, steam rooms, and swimming pools whenever possible.
Swelling
Since ultrasound lifting applies thermal energy to the deeper fascia layer, a warming sensation or redness may occur but will gradually subside.
A tingling sensation, especially along the jawline and cheeks where ultrasound was concentrated, may last for approximately 2–3 hours, depending on individual sensitivity.
Results & Duration
Results may appear immediately, but noticeable improvement usually begins after 2 weeks and continues gradually over 2–3 months.
Starting the day after treatment, you may feel a gradual tightening sensation for about 2 weeks, and mild discomfort may occur.
Those with strong jaw muscles may feel temporary soreness, which is also a normal sign of the lifting effect.
With 3–5 or more sessions, long-lasting effects may be expected, and consistent maintenance is recommended.
Recovery Progress
Adequate hydration and moisturizing after treatment help support skin regeneration.
Please avoid washing with excessively cold water or using cold packs after the procedure.
To prevent pigmentation, please apply sunscreen thoroughly. (Avoid functional skincare products that may cause swelling or irritation for 1 week.)
General Post-Treatment Precautions
Alcohol & Smoking
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for 1 week after the procedure.
Exercise
Please avoid excessive or strenuous exercise for 1 week after the procedure.
Emergency Situations
If you experience any of the following symptoms, please contact the clinic or your coordinator’s direct number and visit the hospital immediately.
Contact the clinic immediately if:
· You develop a high fever of 38°C or higher
· The treated area becomes increasingly red or swollen compared to immediately after the procedure
· You feel severe dizziness or have difficulty breathing
