Tightness, swelling, and bruising may worsen during the first 2–3 days after surgery and gradually improve over the next 1–2 weeks.
Dimpling or indentation may appear temporarily, but it will recover naturally over time.
You may be able to feel the threads under the skin or experience swelling. If symptoms are severe, please contact the clinic.
Recovery Progress
Immediately after surgery, you may experience reduced skin sensation or unevenness due to swelling. This is a normal part of the healing process, so there is no need to worry.
Please avoid making exaggerated facial expressions or opening your mouth widely for about 2 weeks. In some cases, you may feel discomfort or mild pain when moving your face.
Please avoid rubbing the treated area strongly. Massages, acupressure, or lymphatic treatments that apply strong pressure should also be avoided.
Wound Care
Small tapes may be applied to the treated area, and a bandage may be worn over them if necessary
The tape is removed after 2–3 days, and it should not be removed on your own.
Cleansing & Showering
Light face washing is allowed starting 3–4 days after surgery. However, if tape is still applied on the face, please only gently wipe the area with a damp towel.
Steam rooms, saunas, and facial massages should be avoided for 1 month after surgery.
Prescribed Medications
Please take all medications prescribed by the clinic as instructed after surgery.
Skipping doses may increase the risk of inflammation.
After discharge, please take the prescribed medications regularly at the designated times. If symptoms such as diarrhea or hives occur after taking the medication, discontinue use and contact the clinic immediately.
Pain relievers are included in the prescription.
However, if you continue to experience significant pain, you may take additional Tylenol (acetaminophen).
For 1 month after surgery, please avoid multivitamins (especially Vitamin E) and nutritional supplements, as they may increase the risk of bleeding.
Unless absolutely necessary, aspirin should be avoided for at least one week after surgery.
Swelling-reduction medications are not recommended, as they may also increase the risk of bleeding.
Exercise
Light exercise is allowed after 2 weeks, and strenuous activities (such as workouts, hiking, or swimming) are allowed starting after 1 month.
General Post-Operative Precautions
Alcohol & Smoking
Alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited for one month after surgery.
Please also avoid excessive exercise and stress during the recovery period.
Alcohol may increase the risk of inflammation, and smoking constricts blood vessels, which can delay wound healing and slow recovery.
