WONDERFUL PLASTIC SURGERY
Precautions for Plastic Surgery & Skin Treatments
Post-Treatment Guidelines for Botox
Cleansing
  1. Light face washing, showering, and makeup are allowed starting 1–2 hours after the procedure.
  2. When cleansing or showering, please avoid rubbing or directly touching the treated area.
  3. For 1 week after the procedure, it is recommended to avoid saunas, bathhouses, steam rooms, and swimming pools whenever possible.
Swelling
  1. Mild bruising or swelling may occur after the procedure, but it usually subsides within 1–2 weeks.
Results & Duration
  1. The effects of Botox typically last for 3–6 months, although this varies depending on the individual, the treatment area, and the product used.
  2. For wrinkle Botox treatments (forehead, glabella, crow’s feet), results may appear as early as 2–3 days and usually within 7 days.
  3. For muscle-related treatments (masseter, calves, trapezius) and hyperhidrosis treatments (hands, feet, underarms), results usually appear within 2–3 weeks.
  4. After masseter Botox, chewing hard or tough foods (such as gum or dried squid) may shorten the duration of the effect, so please avoid these.
Recovery Progress
  1. Temporary facial stiffness or an unnatural expression may occur, and mild headaches may develop.
  2. After wrinkle Botox, possible side effects include injection-site pain, rash, itching, stinging, swelling, eyelid twitching, headache, inflammation, bruising, bleeding, pigmentation changes, small lumps, or dizziness.
  3. Sensory changes such as numbness or new wrinkles in other areas may also occur.
  4. In some cases, cheek hollowing, drooling, speech difficulty, or unnatural lip movement may occur.
  5. After salivary gland Botox, dry mouth may occur, so frequent water intake is recommended.
